Dietmar Hamann slams Thomas Tuchel for talking about coaching in Spain, especially with Barcelona’s position set to become vacant this summer. Even though the 50-year-old boss is still an employee of Bayern Munich.

Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann harshly criticized Thomas Tuchel after the 50-year-old Bayern Munich coach talked about Xavi Hernandez’s imminent move. Stepping down from his position as coach of Barcelona and still not hiding that coaching work in Spain also attracted his attention.

Although Bayern Munich released a statement defending Tuchel, the 50-year-old coach’s interview with Spanish football and his move to the Spanish league also caught his attention. The Barcelona coach position will be vacant when Xavi announces his departure from the club this summer, but Hamann cannot accept Bayern Munich boss’s inappropriate comments. 

‘He (Tuchel) sat there and talked about Xavi, about his successor. And he wants to coach in Barcelona or Spain. That’s a shame,’ Hamann said. ‘Tuchel is a very intelligent person. Nothing like that came out of his mouth. But he needed to know one thing. When you’re an employee of FC Bayern, joking with the club’s leadership is never a good idea.’ Report by UFABET
