Conceicao defends Gimenez, still full of determination

AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao is not worried about the drop in form of Mexico striker Santiago Gimenez.

Gimenez joined Milan from Feyenoord in the winter transfer window and has made a strong start to life for the Rossoneri, scoring twice in two games, a 2-0 away win over Empoli and a 1-0 home win over Hellas Verona.

But after that, the scoring has been คาสิโนออนไลน์ UFABET ฝากถอนรวดเร็ว เริ่มต้นเล่นง่าย quiet during the period of losing 3 consecutive games in Serie A.

Whilst this is not to say the signs are there, the Mexican certainly has not hit the ground running as the club would like. However, this is not a bad thing at all, and is certainly not something to panic about, as Sergio Conceicao stated.

Although in the last 2 games, winning away at Lecce 3-2 and opening at home to beat Como 2-1, there were no goals from Gimenez. And the form of play looked slow, not agile, lacking sharpness, not like in the early days.

“He’s been working hard all week, focusing on everything we’re doing with him and the other forwards.”

“It’s not easy for a striker to move to Italy, where all the teams play a very solid defensive game, so it’s natural that he needs time to adapt.”

“He will be a key player for the rest of the season, I’m sure,” Conceicao said of Gimenez.
